the camp

welcome to the real wilderness of Adirondacks!..our camp is set on 24 acres overlooking 1500 feet of frontage west canada creek..a charming 1959 recently renovated adirondack cabin with direct picture window views from a 20 foot bluff overlooking the creek. Fully equipped kitchen with 2 frigs tucked under the counter for ample cooking space, a separate freezer box, an induction stove, a wood burning fireplace and a new beastly Canadian wood burning stove we knicknamed Hank the Tank, Jr. further along the property path is a large yurt style Sibley tent vaulted 16 feet high with a Belgium Orland wood burning stove for cozy nights under the stars. fresh air included. Taking walks along the property’s paths overlooking the water or wading in the gentle creek risking little as it touches only midway up your calf or finding deeper swimming pockets to plunge and swim infinitely against the current..this microscopic ecosystem represents Adirondacks as a whole! Plenty of birdwatching and bird listening..as loons bob across the meandering stream, kingfishers dive and skirt the water, grouse and turkey families prance about worry free, a random wood fox and jack rabbit occasionally peek out, a friendly frog decides to hang out for an entire lunch at our outdoor umbrella table, busy hummingbirds scour the honeysuckle and hosta along the cabin and a plethora of fluttering butterflies change out colors and markings depending on the migration season..this all happens if you give yourself a new york minute and wait, watch and listen.
